Spring, carryer of hope

During these disturbing times it’s good to see positive signs that life still goes on. Today, I am sharing with you a very beautiful text which is not mine (apparently from Michele Foulain) but which was posted on Facebook yesterday and that I greatly appreciated. The text was written in French but I translated it here:

“It was in March of 2020 …

The streets were empty, the shops were closed, people couldn’t go out.

But Spring did not know, and the flowers started to bloom, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the swallows would arrive soon, the sky was blue, the morning was arriving earlier.

It was in March of 2020 …

Young people had to study online, and find occupations at home, people could no longer shop or go to the hairdresser.  Soon there would be no more room in hospitals, and people continued to get sick.

But Spring did not know, the time to go to the garden was coming, the grass was turning green.

It was in March of 2020 …

People were put in containment,  to protect grandparents, families and children.  No more meetings or meals together, family celebrations. Fear became real and the days were alike.

But Spring did not know, apple trees, cherry trees and others bloomed, the leaves grew.

People started reading, playing with family, learning a language, singing on the balcony inviting neighbours to do the same, learning a new language, showing solidarity and focusing on other values.

People realized the importance of health, of the suffering of this world that had stopped, of the economy that had plummeted.

But Spring did not know. Flowers gave  way to fruits,  birds made their nest,  swallows had arrived.

Then, liberation day arrived, people learned about it on TV, the virus had lost, people took to the streets, sang, cried, kissed their neighbours, without masks or gloves.

And that’s when Summer came, because Spring didn’t know.  It continued to be there despite everything, despite the virus, fear and death.  Because Spring did not know, it taught people the power of life.

Everything will be fine, stay at home, protect yourself, and you will enjoy life. »

Read this, spread it by copying / pasting this text, but above all remain confident and keep smiling!

These are the drawings from the day before yesterday and yesterday.  Our beautiful geese have arrived!  Real pests for small lakes and golf courses but a definite sign that Spring is here and we love to hear their joyous loud chattering !

Be safe !

    1. Yes, we have to keep hope and life goes on. Our government is really good here and most people follow the rules of social distanciation. Everything Is mostly closed at this point and they are monitoring the numbers. So far all our cases have been on vacation abroad or in close contact with someone that was abroad. Good luck and keep up the drawing 😘
